Joaquín Mirkin has more than 20 years of experience as an advisor and consultant to business leaders and managers, politicians and diplomats, at an international level. He specializes in Global Public Affairs and Executive Coaching. He is a Partner of Mirkin Consulting Public Affairs LLC, a consulting firm based in Madrid. In 2001, he obtained his Bachelor of Political Science at the University of Buenos Aires; in 2004, a Master in International Relations and Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid; and in 2007, a Master in Political and Institutional Communication at the Ortega y Gasset Foundation in Madrid. He is an Ontological Coach certified by the Rafael Echeverria School (Newfield Consulting) and the Business School of the Torcuato Di Tella University (of Buenos Aires), active member of the Professional Council of Public Relations of the Argentine Republic, Accredited Professional Coach of the Federation International Professional Ontological Coaching (FICOP) and Member of the Coaching International Federation (ICF).
He has led New Businesses at Burson-Marsteller, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has been Director of Operations and International Media at Maquina Cohn & Wolfe, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, both corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Crisis Management agencies belonging to the WPP Group. He has solid experience in Executive Coaching and in the training of Leaders in conversational and communication skills, negotiation processes and relationships with stakeholders. He has worked as Coordinator of Inter-institutional Relations in the Directorate for Latin America and the Caribbean at the United Nations Development Program, in New York, supporting institutional relations and digital communication in 18 countries in the region. He has also been director of the Safe Democracy Foundation in Madrid, of the businessman and investor Martin Varsavsky, and collaborates with Infodefensa.com (in Madrid), having also worked as an editor at Página12 in Buenos Aires.
